Announcing The Camp Kadimah Legacy Society!
It is hard to overstate the importance of Camp Kadimah for the generations that have had the privilege of a magical and life-changing summer at Barss Corner on the shores of Lake William.
You can now help ensure future generations will have the same experience!
Kadimah has always been more than just a camp; it is and has been the centre of Jewish life for young people from the Maritime provinces and across Canada, the United States, Israel and beyond. It has provided generations of campers and staff with lifelong friendships and some of the greatest experiences of their lives. Kadimah has led to countless marriages. Children and grandchildren of many of these Kadimah marriages have gone on to attend Kadimah themselves. It is truly the personification of m’dor l’dor – from generation to generation.
Today, Camp Kadimah is as strong as ever, with its impact continuing to be felt throughout Canada and the broader Jewish world.
As Kadimah goes from strength to strength, we are excited to announce The Camp Kadimah Legacy Society – an important philanthropic initiative to ensure the camp's long-term viability for future generations. The Camp Kadimah Legacy Society will recognize all those who commit to leave a gift to Camp Kadimah from their Estate.
A legacy gift is a significant and meaningful way to ensure that future generations will have a life-changing Kadimah experience.
We encourage you to take the first step of making an important difference for future generations of Kadimahniks by preparing a “Letter of Wishes”.
Unlike a Will or codicil, a Letter of Wishes is not legally binding, but it serves as a strong moral guide for executors and family members. For your convenience, we have prepared a sample Letter of Wishes for your consideration, which you can fill out by clicking the button below.
All those who join The Camp Kadimah Legacy Society will be recognized on a soon-to-be created Tree of Life, located prominently at camp.
If you have any questions or would like more information about The Camp Kadimah Legacy Society, please contact Peter Svilik at peter@campkadimah.com or 902-644-2313 x 1.
With your help, we can achieve a brighter and stronger future for generations to come.
