Hey there!

For those of you who don’t know me, my name is Shira Abramsky and I’m super excited to be your Melyad Director this summer. Emily and I have lots of cool new ideas to bring to the program and we can’t wait to get started!

Some information about myself:

I was born and raised in Kingston, Ontario but have spent my last 4 years in London. I have recently graduated from the University of Western Ontario with an Honors Visual Arts Degree and in September I will be attending The Fashion Institute in New York City to further my education in the industry. I have been at Kadimah since 1996 when I spent the summer as a little Goshie. Working in the Melyad makes me feel like I’m at home. What could be better than spending the summer making art at camp? As I was the Assistant last summer, I am more than ready and qualified to take charge and make this summer one of the best the Melyad has ever seen.
