Sharon Maranz was born in Israel and raised in South Africa. She then lived in the US for nine years and has now lived in Canada for almost ten years where she has studied music. During the winter, Sharon teaches privately, both English as a Second Language as well as singing. She also directs choirs and offers voice workshops. During the summers, she works as an outdoor guide, leading hiking and cycling and trips in the Maritimes. Her interests include music, hiking, camping, capoeira, yoga, writing, travelling and foreign languages. Sharon loves being outside and has spent many summers in Alaska leading hiking and rafting trips and she can do the best impersonation of a female monkey. She is fluent in hebrew and can speak a little Xhosa. She is very excited to be at Camp Kadimah this summer as Giborim Section Head.
