Name: Alyssa Byers-Heinlein from the beautiful city of Fredericton, New Brunswick. I currently attend Dalhousie University in Halifax, studying biology. This year I am assistant nature/scouting director and couldn't be happier. I started going to camp as a Gibbie in 1996. In 1997 I was the official fact of the day announcer. I went though all the sections and CIT.
After a year abroad, I returned as a scouting specialist for two years. Even as a Gibbie nature was my interest at camp and as an 8 year old I would catch frogs and play with bugs. Not much has changed except now I teach others how to catch frogs and play with bugs. Interesting fact: leeches are my favourite animal and my favourite camp meal is breakfast. |
