As a new family to Kadimah, you may wish to review the information about dates and rates outlined below.  Once you feel you have all the information you need and you are ready to apply, you may click here or on the banner located on the left hand side of this page.

Programs & Dates

The following will outline key milestone dates for the 2017 season.  Note that Kadimah offers three payment programs:

Early Bird 1:   Pay in full by Aug 31. Save up to $500 on our 6 week program.

Early Bird 2:   Pay 50% by Aug 31. Pay remaining balance in equal installments on Sept 30 and Oct 31. Save up to $300 on our 6 week program.

Full Pay*: Pay $850 deposit at time of application. Pay equal installments on Nov 30 & Feb 28. No discounts apply.

2017 Dates and Rates Master

For all Full (Regular) pay options, a deposit of $850 is due at time of application.  Applications received after Oct 31 are not guaranteed acceptance based on capacity.

Traditional 6 Week Full Kadimah Program (New & Returning Campers) - Ages 7-16

Giborim, Goshrim and Kochot (Ages 7-13 as of December 31, 2017)

Dates: Sun, July 2 – Sun, August 13

Full Rate: $5900 | ‘Regular Pay’ Deposit: $850 | Early Bird savings available up to $500

Machar (Ages 14-15 as of December 31, 2017)

Dates: Sun, July 2 – Sun, August 13

Full Rate: $5995 | ‘Regular Pay’ Deposit: $850 | Early Bird savings available up to $500

CIT (Age 16 as of December 31, 2017)

Dates: Fri, June 30 – Sun, August 13

Full Rate: $6150 | ‘Regular Pay’ Deposit: $850 | Early Bird savings available up to $500

Fees include HST and all costs related to snacks, scheduled bus transportation to & from camp and laundry. Fees do not include personal expenses such as prescriptions or other discretionary purchases made for or by campers while at camp or on out-trips.

Kadimah 3-Week Intro Program (New Campers) - Ages 7-13

Giborim, Goshrim and Kochot (Ages 7-13 as of December 31, 2017)

Dates: Sun, July 2 – Mon, July 24*

Full Rate: $3800 | ‘Regular Pay’ Deposit: $850 | Early Bird savings available up to $375

Fees include HST and all costs related to snacks, scheduled bus transportation to & from camp and laundry. Fees do not include personal expenses such as prescriptions or other discretionary purchases made for or by campers while at camp or on out-trips.
 
First time campers from certain communities may be eligible to receive a $1000 incentive grant. Click here for more information.
 
*Please note the 3-week session ends the day after Visiting Day. Return travel information should be planned through the camp office. The option to extend your child’s stay at camp to 6 weeks is available.

Taste of Kadimah 2 Week Program (New Campers) - Ages 7-9

Giborim (Ages 7-9 as of December 31, 2017)

Dates: Sun, July 2 – Sunday, July 16*

Full Rate: $2450 | ‘Regular Pay’ Deposit: $850 | Early Bird savings available up to $250

Fees include HST and all costs related to snacks, scheduled bus transportation to & from camp and laundry. Fees do not include personal expenses such as prescriptions or other discretionary purchases made for or by campers while at camp.
 
Pending length of stay, first time campers from certain communities may be eligible to receive a $1000 incentive grant. Click here for more information.
 
*The option to extend your child’s stay at camp to 3 weeks or 6 weeks is available.

Frequently Asked Questions:

When is the deposit due for the ‘Full (Regular) Payment’ option?

The deposit is due at the time the application is submitted, and no later than Oct 31. The Deposit can be submitted with a credit card on the application (preferred) or via cheque to our Halifax office.

How can we pay for camp and when is the final payment due?

You can pay your fees by cheque or by credit card. For either payment method, you have three payment options:

Early Bird 1:

Pay 100% by Aug 31 to receive Early Bird 1 savings up to $500.

Early Bird 2:

Pay 50% by Aug 31 to receive Early Bird 2 savings up to $300. Remaining installments are due on Sept 30 and Oct 31, 2016.

Regular Pay:

Pay your $850 deposit at time of application.  Your final two installments will be due on Nov 30 & Feb 28, 2017. No Early Bird savings apply.

What do the camp fees include?

Camp fees include all taxes, full camp program (including out-trips), bus transportation to/from camp, snack items during summer, baggage (ground) handling from Halifax, Toronto, Ottawa and Montreal, and a Camp Kadimah t-shirt.

What do the camp fees NOT include?

Camp fees do not include air travel or any special travel arrangements, prescription drugs, dental or orthodontic work, pictures from Camp-in-Touch and any prior or in-summer discretionary purchases specifically you make or your child makes.

Campers in Giborim, Goshrim and Kochot need not bring money. Machar & CIT campers may wish to bring  cash for discretionary purchases on their respective ‘out-of-camp’ trip.  The camp office can hold each camper’s money in its secure vault.

What are the cancellation fees?

Before January 8, 2017:

-$100 Administration Charge

January 8-March 15, 2017:

-50% of deposit

March 16-June 17, 2017:

-100% of deposit

After June 17, 2016:

50% of camp fees are forfeited

If I need to pay for air travel, what does that cost?

The cost for air travel round-trip from Toronto or Montreal is approximately $500-$600 (tax included). All travel arrangements from Toronto must be booked through the camp travel agent. All travel from other destinations must be coordinated directly with the camp office so we can be sure to have escorts available for all campers.
